Qualifications
Greetings! I am an experienced, licensed, state certified teacher with certification in Georgia and New York State. I have a master's degree as a reading teacher and a bachelor’s in elementary education grades PreK - 6. My experience includes more than 19 years of teaching children in kindergarten and 1st grades as well as 5 years teaching pre school. I have also been a childcare provider for the last 5 years. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I am a married mother of 4 children. I have also helped to raise a whole host of nieces and nephews. I love children and enjoy seeing them learn and grow.
Philosophy
I believe young children need the proper foundations in order to succeed in school. I will provide a nurturing, child-centered environment where learning is fun. I will make sure they are ready and equipped with all the skills needed to be successful when they are ready for elementary school. It is my intention to bring out the best in your child. Positive reinforcement and building self esteem and pride is always important to me. Once a child knows she/he can do it and is encouraged there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
(Hence the name Phenomenal meaning extraordinary or remarkable, amazing, fantastic incredible)
Curriculum
l believe that the earlier a child is exposed to learning the better. Using an eclectic approach makes sure children get a little of everything.
The curriculum will be focused on developing the whole child through these methods:
Some children learn through listening, some learn through observing, some learn through actually doing and participating. As a teacher it is my job to see what best suits your child and gear instruction to suit them
